Plusieurs sources du site anglais Eurogamer rapportent aujourd’hui que le prochain volet de Call of Duty serait Black Ops 4 et pourrait être disponible à la fin de l’année. Le studio Treyarch, déjà responsable des 3 premiers Black Ops, serait aux commandes et se focaliserait sur une période de jeu moins futuriste suite aux retours négatifs du très scifi Infinite Warfare.
Il y a quelques jours, l’insider Marcus Sellars indiquait déjà sur Twitter que le prochain COD serait bien Black Ops 4 :
COD 2018 is Black Ops 4 and is coming to PS4/Xbox/PC/Switch. It is set in the modern times and is boots on the ground. The Switch version will support DLC, HD Rumble and motion controls. The Switch version is also being ported by a company which is familar with COD games.

COD 2018 est Black Ops 4 et sortira sur PS4, Xbox One, PC et Switch. Il se déroulera dans une époque plus contemporaine et gardera les pieds au sol (…).
Les jet-packs seraient donc mis au placard pour un gameplay plus réaliste, il faudra surement attendre quelques mois avant qu’Activision officialise tout cela.
